Online bullying and hurtful "trolling" are serious concerns for many people of all ages- NOT JUST CHILDREN. Even adults have to deal with unkind words over technology. Sometimes, technology can make us feel very removed from others, and it can be easier to be blunt, harsh, or even harmful to others online because we cannot see their reactions. It is very important for all people who use social media and online areas of written communication that we remember to always treat others the way we want to be treated.
A necessary part of digital citizenship is considering the feelings of others and recognizing the lasting impacts of negative words. |
